We are privileged and delighted to welcome you to our fantastic alternative provision. We have created a nurturing, inclusive and vibrant provision where ambitions are forged and dreams ignited. We provide opportunities for all young people to be successful and achieve whatever their needs or abilities. Each student is valued, respected and equal members of our community and we enhance their lives through developing literacy, numeracy, learning and life skills. Some students need more support than others so each student has a personalised learning and mentoring provision tailored to their individual needs. We are proud of our strong community ethos and of our work with the wider community.We work closely with many partners including parents/carers, schools, academies and PRUs, Local Authorities, Youth Offending Team, The Police, CAMHS and Education Welfare Service. Education 1st are a leading alternative education provider across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We create bespoke packages that meet the individual needs of each of our young people. We work with young people between KS1-KS4. There is a curriculum core of English, Maths, creativity, physical activity, PSHE and careers education. We provide a structured learning environment, where each student has a daily timetable of Maths and English in the morning, with vocational and physical activities taking place in the afternoons. These sessions are delivered by both the subject teaching staff and the team of mentors.
At Education 1st, we aim to provide a balanced curriculum within a supportive, non-threatening yet challenging learning environment. We promote inclusive education, involving identifying and removing barriers to the presence, participation and progress of all children and young people. Student learning is based on a tailored package created to meet the needs of each of our young people to provide a learning environment in which individuals can thrive. Our education is highly supported by mentoring and coaching from each of our members of staff.
